F. Winters & Son

Jim Winters family has been traditionally farming in the New Forest now for 100 years.

The beef and lamb reared by Jim Winters is fed on all natural ingredients from the land including grass and maize sileage. No man-made ingredient or concentrate is incorporated into the diet of his cattle.

Danestream Farm Shop has been using the meat from F. Winters & Son for 2 years now and takes pride in adopting the traditional way of butchery of hanging the meat for a period of 2 weeks to ensure superior flavour and perfect tenderness is achieved.

Clayton Eggs
Claytons Eggs are a local free range egg producer, based on the edge of the New forest in the village of East Wellow. They have been farming at Kitts Merries Farm for 43 years, and started free range egg production 7 years ago.

Claytons Eggs priorities are:

- welfare of the chickens
- quality of the eggs
- reliable service

The chickens have access to their field during daylight hours, so they can roam freely. Their food contains only natural ingredients with no additives or hormones. Their motto being “home of happy hens”.

P&M Dovey

This family business has now been established for over seventy years, with the experience passed on from one generation to the next.
The chicken they supply are hand fed on an additive free corn-based diet. They have access to roam outside or inside their house where they have fresh straw beds. The poultry is processed on the farm therefore causing as little stress as possible. They still carry out the traditional method of eviscerating the poultry after it has been left to hang for a time, this ensures the full flavour you would expect to have and enjoy.
The only staff employed are family members mainly on a part time basis, the reason being that they care about the welfare aspect of the livestock.

Roy Hunt has been farming at Tachbury Manor for a substantial number of years now and being a small producer, ensures his pigs are treated extremely well and with a lot of care.
